This will be the 25th Gaucin Christmas Fair and Karen has done a great job organizing a fantastic line up of stalls. It will be in the new town hall this year and food and beverage will be available outside with entertainment by Elizabeth, Mark Colley, Marcus and the Poozy brothers.
Mar Blanco and Jorge Carretero have taken over La Tienda Verde. Since last August they have been renovating the store, taking care of the details, investigating suppliers of organic, traditional and regional products. Their focus will be on returning to the time when there were no plastics and everything was reused.

Every Tuesday, they receive organic and gluten-free breads. Every Wednesday they get freshly harvested seasonal vegetables from Salitre (Algatocin), Coín, Estepona, free range...
The 5th edition of this great local work will be presented on the evening of Friday 29th at KeTal restaurant around the corner from Casa Antonia.
The reforestation programme scheduled for 17 November was cancelled due to the forecast rain. It is now taking place Sunday the 24th - 11AM meet at the Pabellón.

On Sunday August 25th we begin the Santo Niño festivities with the Romería a la Adelfilla. The procession starts at the church at 08:30, passing through the plazoleta at approximately 09:00 before heading down the Camino Gibraltar to the Hermita. Once the “Romeros” have arrived there will be a mass at 11:00 followed by music from “Los Latidos”, free paella and a bar. The ascent back up to the village is at 18:30 after which the image of the Santo Niño is taken to the castle chapel.
